Welcome to Structural Integration Toronto!

My Registered Massage Therapy practice has been located in Midtown Toronto around the Davisville area for 18 years and my treatment approach is different than what most of my clients have experienced. I offer 3 different treatment options, Structural Integration, Manual and Movement Therapy, TMJ (Jaw) Sessions and they are laid out in detail under the sessions tab. Please feel free to spend some time reading those tabs as my work is not like a traditional swedish/deep tissue massage therapy treatment.

I would like to meet your expectation and would like to share potential differences in my sessions.

- Wearing athletic gear (Shorts and tank top) throughout the entire session
- Full postural and biomechanics movement screen
- Treatment includes on and off table techniques including manual and movement therapy.
- Focused on finding the cause of your pain and changing the patterns of your body as opposed to just working where it hurts.
- Clear and understandable education around actions you can take to help your situation.

Please contact me if you have questions and I look forward to working with you if given the opportunity

-Adam

Structural Integration is an effective treatment because fascia is:

RESPONSIVE TO GRAVITY

We are all under the effect of gravity and fascia organizes bodily function and structure according to the directional pull of this of force

PHYSICALLY AND FUNCTIONALLY CONTINUOUS

Fascia is a continuous web throughout the whole body and therefore the entire body can be affected by a local change.

MALLEABLE DUE TO ITS VISCOELASTICITY

The fascial web constantly changes shape, composition and physical properties to adapt to mechanical stresses. ATSI creates positional and functional changes to increase the potential of the body and assist the fascia to reorganize and self-correct over time.

REGISTERS INFORMATION AND TRANSMITS IT THROUGH THE BODY

The fascial web is a body wide mechanosensory organ (Schleip) telling us where we are in space. As information is collected, mechanoreceptors communicate with the central and peripheral nervous system which help to control coordinated movements.
